Turn your phone into a peak flow diary. The Smart Peak Flow is a palm-sized, medically certified peak flow meter that connects to your smartphone and records every reading automatically – no paper charts, no forgetting to write it down.

Peak flow measures how fast you can breathe out. Tracking it daily helps you and your health professional see how well your asthma is controlled, spot when it is starting to worsen, and act before it becomes an attack.

How it works

Connect the device to your phone and open the free Smart Asthma app.
Take a deep breath and blow into the mouthpiece as hard and as fast as you can.
Your reading appears on screen straight away and is saved automatically.
The app shows your reading against your personal best using a simple green, amber and red traffic light system, so you know at a glance whether you are in your usual range or need to take action.

Caring for your device

Wash the mouthpiece in warm soapy water, rinse well and allow it to air dry before the next use. Wipe the device itself with a soft, dry cloth – do not immerse it in water. The mouthpiece should not be shared between people.

Before you start

Talk with your doctor, asthma nurse or pharmacist about your personal best peak flow and what your green, amber and red zones should be, and make sure your asthma action plan is up to date. The Smart Peak Flow supports your asthma management – it does not replace medical advice or your prescribed medication. If your symptoms worsen, follow your asthma action plan and seek medical help.
